![]() The Arturia V Collection 4 gives you some of the best 1970s and 1980s synthesizers in virtually identical-sounding. February 6, 2015 4:33PM EST; February 6, 2015. Analog Lab is a great way to dive in for beginners. Say, a Korg Trinity or Roland XP-60, plus a digital virtual analog synth that was available at the time. Recently bought Arturia's Wurlitzer V plug-in for use within Maschine (VST, AU formats) and within ProTools 10. It's been buggy from day 1 in these two programs, while in stand alone mode, it works fine. So, I contacted Arturia's tech support and this was the reply I received: 'There is a known bug involving the Wurlitzer's sustain pedal in Protools 10. Also, our programs are not Maschine Compatible. Which may be causing the issue there.' Had I known that this was the case, I wouldn't have purchased the plug-in, but nowhere on their site is this compatibility information - not to mention the fact that there is no sustain pedal issue in ProTools 10; what is happening to the Wurlitzer plug-in is identical in both Maschine and ProTools. When I asked tech support at Arturia why a VST like the Wurlitzer V wouldn't be compatible in a program like Maschine (that can host a ton of other VST and AU plug-ins), this was their response: 'It can work, but it is buggy and creating a more tested and stable version for it isn't at the top of our priorities at the moment. So I apologize for the inconvenience.' Cool, Arturia. I want my money back. Just thought I'd issue a word of warning to anyone interested in purchasing Arturia plug-in's to use in Maschine - Apparently, you're going to have unsolvable, unsupported problems.:|:|:|. Customer service doesn't seem to be their strong suit. And not only does the VST version not allow me to access presets, it won't allow me to assign MIDI controls, adjust FX, etc. Nothing can be clicked on within the instrument.unless it's running in standalone mode. Also, how is it possible that a VST/AU program is incompatible with a VST/AU host app like Maschine? Who is ever going to use something like this only in standalone mode? I have analog factory and jp8v2 and both work fine on my mac both in maschine standalone and in maschine inside ableton. I sometimes have a few glitches when switching between Instances but when this happens I just unplug and replug the hybrid keyboard and that normally sorts it out. Obviously I can't record parameter changes in analog factory from the arturia hardware into maschine so rather than use the maschine knobs I normally open it in in ableton or i kore in ableton but I normally use the Jupiter plug in maschine vst or standalone --- Update There is one annoying bug when using analog factor as a vst the parameters jump when you move a knob instead of waiting until you reach their value like they do in standalone I though this was supposed to be addressed in an update but only in stAndalone.
